After suffering from postpartum anxiety after the birth of her first child, she knew there had to be a better way to support her body and mind through her postpartum transition.  After searching and speaking to other mothers who had also experienced a rough transition, she found placenta encapsulation. The experience was profound, claiming a “night and day difference” between her two postpartum experiences. She decided to pursue her passion into birth work starting with the postpartum experience. She believes, “In many ways, so much attention and energy is placed on the baby before, during, and after birth, that often mothers are left without proper support. I truly believe that Mothering the Mother is crucial in a woman’s recovery. Placenta encapsulation is one aspect of that support.”

She is proud to align herself with APPA. Her company Birch Moon Mama offers placenta encapsulation and tincture services to local mothers in Massachusetts.
