😍 On a sweet note, have you ever seen something so beautiful?! That little one just knows what to look for. That's because the smell of the parents nipples secret a similar smell as the amniotic fluid that babe lived in! Making those nipples a familiar and safe space. Also, during pregnancy many people notice their areolas seem to get bigger, darker.... Can we guess why?
Since baby has very poor eyesight in the early weeks, that darkening of the nipple area actually serves as a 🎯 for baby to see 😜

We all have chioces when it comes to our birth, and keeping your placenta shouldn't have to be a fight. ⁠

Make sure to discuss your plans well in advance, possibly several times, with your provider so that they can have it in your chart. When you arrive to your birthing location, it's also a goo idea to remind staff upon check in, and once baby arrives. Pack yourself a cooler and some large ziploc bags so that the placent can be packed up smoothly :)⁠
