Placenta Vitality
Natalie Stokell (MA, MTI, ITEC, PBi, APPAC) lives on the Sunshine Coast with her partner and their two girls, born 2009 and 2012. After the birth of her first daughter she tried some raw placenta as she had heard of it's postnatal benefits, being a vegetarian, this made her a little squeamish, and so after a day of trying it she decided to bury the placenta instead. Three years later she researched a little more and discovered Placenta Encapsulation. After her second pregnancy she used the placenta in this much more palatable way for months postnatally (she may or may not have 8 capsules left in her freezer as an emergency stash). Her postnatal recovery this time round was amazing, no 'Day Three Weepies', great energy levels, speedier physical recovery and less postnatal bleeding. It was so good that she decided to start offering this to other Mamas on the Coast.
Four years later she is doubly certified, has encapsulated over 300 placentas and is very passionate about the work she does.
When not encapsulating placentas or wearing her Mama hat you can often find her with paintbrush in hand. She loves any form of artistic expression and has recently found a way to include this love in her work with placentas. She now offers Cosmic Placenta Art for her clients who would like some art created to honour their placenta but are not keen on a Placenta Blood Print on their wall. She takes a Placenta Blood Print and then traces this onto high quality artists watercolour paper and intuitively paints a Nebula or Cosmos in colours of the client's choice. She finishes off the piece with the constellation of the child's star sign. She can also create this artwork from a photo of the placenta if the client just wants this service without encapsulating.
Natalie loves talking anything placenta so please feel free to get in touch with her to chat or ask questions. If you are based in Australia and would some help finding a Placenta Specialist do reach out. Natalie serves on the Placenta Services Australia Board and is passionate about keeping Placenta Encapsulation and services safe and to a high standard in Australia.
